How to handle a baby with another child? I am having my second one soon! How to handle it?
My daughter is 7 and has been an only child. This baby will need to eat and sleep all the time. I will need to run my daughter to school, to baseball, and then I have shopping.. how to fit it in? With my daughter I did things around her. I can’t make this baby wait to sleep or eat… Some tips on handling this? If the baby is napping and I need to get my daughter to school…. or if I am going to pick my daughter up and the baby wants to eat… how do I handle this?
Ok, it isn’t really that hard. I had my second child when my first was 6 and 1/2. I had to grocery shop, run my older daughter to and from school, and cook every day. It just works out. Even if the baby is asleep when you have to go out, just strap him/her in the carseat and go. There will be times when the baby will cry or protest a bit, but it it will be just fine. Usually the car puts them back to sleep pretty qauick. I would also make sure you older daughter is aware that the baby will need you quite a bit, so she doesn’t feel left out. Let her help with her new sibling, it helped us a lot. My girls are now 3 and 9 and they get along great! Good luck!
